A vernal pool fosters tadpoles in Spring. Cobwebs collect insects in the roots of a riverside tree. Ephemeral bluebells open in the Spring dusk. The urban landscape contains isolated ecosystems, fractured, yet beautiful. As flora and fauna are secreted away in their hidden worlds, their quiet stories play out. This project is an ongoing endeavor to reveal the textures, movements, and personalities within their ecosystem, and to intentionally notice beauty in these beleaguered pockets of green, in the hope that in seeing the unseen a path to greater harmony between urban communities and the natural environment may be revealed.
